Fun foam is among the essential craft items especially among the kids. This Halloween collect some chunks of fun foam typically in the Halloween shades that are black, orange, green and white. Now, draw some ovals and circles on the fun foam. With safety scissors let your child brush his or her craft & cutting skills. Make them cut out these shapes out of the fun foam. Mean while, you go ahead cutting shapes from the remaining pieces of fun foam. You might opt to work on interesting patterns like witches, scary cats, bats, ghosts, and many more. These shapes can easily be found on the internet. Now stick on these varied shapes on the ovals & circles you ha cut earlier. Finally, punch a hole on the top. Put a string in this hole and hang your child’s Halloween ornaments where ever you wish in the house!

2. Scary Pumpkin Windows

Get square pieces of orange construction sheets. Now let the kids draw some scary pumpkin faces on them. Further cut out these faces. Let the paper be square because as you may want to decorate the windows with this. Tape this to your windows and illuminate from behind using a lamp. Enjoy the sight of scary windows, the Halloween way!

3. Spooky Bushes

In case you have bushes around the house, try placing this cute little ghost out there. Fold a white bed sheet in to half. In between the fold, place some newspapers. Using black craft paint or black permanent markers, draw a spooky ghost face on this sheet in the front of the sheet. You can opt to make a funny, scary or whimsical face, the choice is completely yours! Now drape this sheet over the bushes. Pin it using clothes pins. This would make it tight enough. Now there is your ghost sitting in the bushes.

4. Halloween Candles

This craft requires varied materials like fruit gummies, candied corn, sequins and beads. Using the traditional white school glue, stick on these trinkets or any others that you wish to use; in order to decorate black and other dark colored candles. Use these to decorate the house for Halloween!

Do-it-yourself Halloween Decorations

You can turn any home into a haunted house for Halloween by adding the right Halloween decorations. Here are simple do-it-yourself suggestions for Halloween decorations that you, your family, and the neighbors will enjoy this fall.

Gourd candleholders
Dim lighting is essential in creating the right Halloween mood so work on that as the first of your Halloween decorations. Create a low light atmosphere in your home by using candles instead of overhead lighting. To create a spooky candleholder, cut a hole in the center of a gourd, squash, or miniature pumpkin. This might be hard to do so start by gently rocking the knife back and forth until you create a slit. Keep moving the knife carefully until there is an open section large enough to hold a candle.

Safety warning: Make sure you put the candleholder on a tray with aluminum foil. As with all Halloween decorations, advise your children to stay away from the flame.

Witch’s cauldron
To create the ultimate witch’s cauldron you will need a large bowl, dry ice, and water. You can purchase dry ice from a local ice cream parlor or grocery store. Put the dry ice in a container with a tight lid. Then submerge the container in water. Warm water will produce more smoke that will disappear rapidly while colder water will produce less smoke that will last longer. You can put the cauldron at your front door or as the centerpiece on your dining room table.

Safety warning: Do not touch the dry ice with your bare hands. Either use tongs or thick gloves. Make sure that children do not play with the dry ice.

Glowing ghosts
A glowing ghost is the perfect example of how simple and fun making Halloween decorations can be. Activate a mini glow stick, slip it inside a balloon, and blow up the balloon. Position the knot of the balloon at the top center and use a black marker to make a face. Use a thin or transparent white cloth to cover the balloon, cut a small hole in the cloth and push the knot through so you can tie a string to it and hang it from a tree, your door, or a lamppost in your front yard. Your glowing ghost will blow in the wind, letting all your neighbors know that Halloween has arrived.

Halloween’s just around the corner. It’s that time of year again when ghosts and goblins roam the streets. Here are some ideas for Halloween costumes that are easy to execute.

Halloween decorations should be eerie, fun and scary. Here is a wonderful Halloween craft we have found for you. If your house has some bushes at the front, then this Halloween craft is sure to make you real popular in your area. First, take a white plain sheet and fold it into half. Place a few newspapers inside the fold. Using some black fabric paint of a black marker, draw a ghost face on the sheet and leave to dry. once its dry, hang it around your bushes and tightly secure it with clothespin at the back.

Another art and craft Halloween idea is to make your house look really scary and festive by hanging luminaries. First, take any brown lunch bag and use orange paint to paint it. Use an X-acto knife or a pair of scissors to cut out a pumpkin face. Make sure its scary. Fill sand at the bottom for about half an inch and take a tea light or a votive candle and submerge it at the bottom. Make a number of such luminaries and line your walkway with them for the trick or treat night.

Another arts and craft idea for Halloween is to drape your home with fun ghost or pumpkin garlands. These garlands are really easy to make. You require some white construction paper if you are making ghosts or orange construction paper if you are making pumpkins. Draw your ghost or pumpkin on the paper using a pencil or pen. Ensure that while drawing the figures, you leave a tab on the top to fold while stringing the garland. Draw funny or scary faces on the figure using a black marker and then cut out the figures. To make your garland really long, cut out many such figures. Place the string on the fold of the tab. Use staples, glue or tape to secure the figures.
